The park n ride service fails.

Better to drive and park at Hollywood and Highland, flat-rate for $10, and walk up the hill. That way you can bring your picnic vittles and determine what is weather-appropriate at the last minute.

The last 30 minutes of the drive are arduous, but they’re better than allocating an extra 3 hours to meet the shuttle schedule.

Good point. There is a trade off for me with the time/convenience as well as the cost of gas. It also is nice you can drink some wine/beer on the buses there and back as well hang out with friends. I usually try and take the latest bus if I’m rushing (Buses leave from 5:30pm to 7pm depending on location)

The park n ride can be rough to rely on. I highly recommend buying your ticket ahead of time. You will have priority on the bus rides (I’ve seen people without tickets not get rides for lack of room).
