5 Life Variables to be Happy

Happiness is a state of mind!smiling cat

1. Define Success

How can you be happy if you don’t know what it is? Don’t compare yourself to others. If you compare yourself to James Bond every time you do something you will never think you are doing a good job. James Bond isn’t even real anyway.

2. Become Good at Something

Play an instrument, take up painting or artwork, become the best hiker you can be. Money can only buy you so much happiness; you can buy the best music, the best paintings or videos and images of nature. It’s much more gratifying to build yourself up in some aspect and people will respect you for it.

3. Think Ahead

When you look to the future, think of yourself as a success. What great adventures will you encounter? What amazing people will you meet? What kind of car will you drive or house will you be living in? Daydreaming about the future is a great way to set goals and envision yourself with success.

4. Get Out. Be Social!

It’s been shown that those with friends live longer. Try to get out and re connect with people you haven’t spoken with in a while. Find people with similar interests and join/start clubs. Go to meetups.

5. Like Yourself

Easier said than done, but this is key to being happy. Don’t live someone else’s life. Be honest to yourself. If you don’t like something, say so. You don’t have to be rude or mean, but say what you think. Live your own life!
